Meet the Teachers

Teacher Taylor

Director / Owner

“My passion for early childhood development was born out of my own journey into motherhood and a desire to help nurture families in our community. After a fulfilling career in team development and business management, I shifted focus and returned to school to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education with the goal of creating a preschool environment that was engaging and safe. I wanted to create a space children were excited to come, and parents felt comfortable allowing their little ones to grow. In my free time you can often find me around Ballard, enjoying local restaurants and shops, at the Farmer’s Market, kayaking, and spending time with my daughter, and dalmatian, Remi.”

Teacher Isabelle

Lead Teacher

“My philosophy is rooted in trust and rapport, listening and responding in order to allow the most enriching environment for your kiddos to develop and thrive in a way unique to them. I like to introduce and explore practices of autonomy and self advocacy. I believe that trust in oneself is an essential building block for individual learning and development. I believe that children will fly as high as you let them, and I am passionate about helping each child develop at their own pace while keeping them connected and present with their class. I enjoy providing new and creative ways to build routine, communicate emotions, and deepen our meaningful relationships with each child every day. In my free time I enjoy planning travel itineraries, going to local concerts/events, and playing with my cat, Neptune.”

Teacher Jane

Assistant Teacher

“I am excited to bring more than seven years of experience in early learning and environmental education to Fiore Playgroup. I am a Washington State Certified Naturalist and hold a BA in Program and Event Management with a focus on Youth Development from the University of New Hampshire. My work with children is grounded in curiosity, hands-on exploration, and close attention to how children make meaning through play and discovery. I am constantly weaving the natural world into the classroom by creating opportunities for observation, wonder, and connection as children explore themselves and learn about the world around them. Outside the classroom I am an avid tidepooler, photographer, and all around nature lover.”

Teacher Kim

Assistant / Substitute Teacher

“I’ve worked in Early Childhood Education for over three years. During that time I’ve worked as a Lead, Assistant, and Substitute Teacher in Preschool and Pre-K classrooms. My favorite part about being an Early Childhood Educator is seeing how much students grow both emotionally and physically from the beginning of the year to the end. Outside of the classroom I enjoy traveling, reading mystery novels, and watching scary movies.”
